      No detectable contamination from spill of unknown substance in Elizabeth Township

      MAWC learned of a spill via a newspaper article Tank truck spill of unknown substance into Youghiogheny River near Douglas Run Rd. in Elizabeth Township on August 23, upstream from the McKeesport water treatment plant.

      All VOC analysis sampled on 8/23/2019 were non-detect. See attachment for details.

      PA Fish and boat commission officer stated that they did not observe any material going into waters of the Commonwealth during their site visit on 8/23/2019
