All of the MAWC Sample sites for the 2022 monitoring period were reevaluated under the existing Lead and Copper Rule Materials evaluation. From this information, all of the sample sites listed were determined to be Tier I Sites, as defined by the EPA rule. According to this rule, a Tier I site is: A single family structure that: (i) Contain copper pipes with lead solder installed after 1982 or contain lead pipes; and /or (ii) Are served by a lead service line.
What is a typical water emergency?
